Welcoming Taylor Greene

Today is an exciting day at Collaborative Fund.

After almost a year of actively pursuing a new partner, we are thrilled to share Taylor Greene has agreed to join our growing team. He announced this earlier this morning.

Taylor comes to us from Lerer Hippeau Ventures, a firm we deeply respect, where he spent the last 4.5 years, most recently as a Partner. I’ve known Taylor for just over 4 years and have become familiar with him as both a person and VC when we co-led an investment together. It was through this experience that I saw firsthand Taylor’s work ethic, intellect, people skills, and steady hand. Most importantly, his values and sensibility mesh well with Collaborative’s — team first orientation, humility, trusting and trustworthy, helping others be successful, leading by example, and doing the right thing.

Taylor brings the Collaborative team to nine people. We are, ourselves, still a startup. Founded just over seven years ago, we set out to align our business model with a view, not 5 or 10 years into the future, but 20 or even 50 years from now. From this perspective, we are still very young. However, we believe the addition of Taylor reflects an important step in our firm’s growth and evolution, as we continue to transform from a pure start-up to a more meaningful player in the venture and investment arena. Our long-term view married with our scrappy, start-up DNA help informs every decision we make, from the structure of our funds and the profile of our limited partners, to team makeup and which entrepreneurs we back.

Welcoming Taylor is an important milestone for Collaborative Fund. If I were starting a company today, I would want him in my corner. And now he is.

Please join me in welcoming Taylor to Collaborative Fund. We are thrilled to have him on our team and hope each of you has an opportunity to interact with him soon.
